Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang Insun, together with China’s Vice Minister of Commerce Li Fei, will hold the 28th meeting of the Korea-China Joint Economic Committee in Seoul on Thursday, December 12.
The Korea-China Joint Economic Committee is a comprehensive dialogue platform for economic cooperation that has been held since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. It serves as a regular high-level consultation channel to review progress in economic cooperation between the two countries and discuss the way forward for advancing cooperation.
In the upcoming meeting, the two sides will discuss ways to work together in a range of areas, including cooperation in supply chains, trade and investment, and other economic sectors, as well as regional and multilateral cooperation.
The Korean government hopes that this meeting will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen economic cooperation that has been an important driving force behind the mutual development of the two countries over the past 30 years.
