1. To mark the re-opening of the Republic of Korea Embassy in Morocco that had been remodeled in Han (Korean) style, various cultural programs, including traditional performances of the two countries and a Korean calligraphy class, were held on August 29, local time.

2. The multi-purpose hall and the consular services office of the Embassy were renovated into Moroccan-style living rooms with various Korean materials, including Hanji (traditional Korean paper) and cushions in diverse colors, offering the ROK and Moroccan visitors to the Embassy both a sense of comfort from their own traditions and newness from the other country’s culture.

3. The ROK Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with Jeollabuk-do (north Jeolla province), is remodeling its overseas mission buildings in Han style as part of efforts for the buildings to serve as “exhibition halls on Korean culture.” The Ministry will actively implement the project not only in order to attain its purpose of promoting Korea’s cultural beauty but also as a symbolic project for cultural diplomacy.
